  • We want to adopt a child. How do we qualify for a grant?

Our Adoption Grants are designed to help advocate for waiting children around the world. We have three primary requirements; that the adoption is international, the child is designated Special Needs and that you work with one of our affiliate agencies. Because our affiliates are such an essential part of the process, we rely heavily on them to determine both the family's and child's eligibility. If you meet the requirements indicated, you can receive a grant by contacting your adoption agency or submitting an Adoption Grant Inquiry which we will forward to your adoption agency for approval.

What does "special needs" or "waiting children" mean?

Special needs refers to children who are especially difficult for agencies to place with families. They may be physically challenged, carry unsightly scars or marks, or be classified as special needs from a traumatic birth. They may simply be older than the desirable toddler age or part of a sibling group that needs placement together. They may also be healthy children born with the stigma of rape or a family history of mental illness.

How does Brittany's Hope advocate for waiting children?

Our Adoption Grants are designed to alleviate the financial burden that international, special needs adoptions can cause. We work closely with a select group of affiliate adoption agencies who help us identify families and children who would benefit from an adoption grant.

What does the hope in Brittany's Hope stand for?

The light that lives within every life is a gift granted by God, regardless of color, disabilities, social standing or nationality. Our hope is that others will feel the call to protect and nurture the light of God's littlest lives, either through adoption or donation. Today our foundation's symbol stands for the extraordinary garden of hope that grows within the protective power of love. Hope for the endless potential that these beautiful children possess, hope for victory over despair, and hope for the blessed joy of a family. We wish you God's guidance and wisdom as you begin your adoption journey!
