Providing Older Orphans with Supplies to Help Them
During Their Transition to the World Outside the Orphanage
Two young girls who have received Sunflower Children duffel bagsWhen children in orphanages “age out” on their fourteenth birthday, they must leave to make room for the steady flow of younger orphans entering the orphanages.

Our Sunflower Children Project provides aged-out orphans with supply-filled duffel bags to help them during their transition to the world outside of the orphanage. Items such as a warm blanket, shoes, toiletries, a first aid kit, and other provisions make a difference to children who must leave the only home they have ever known.

Last year, we had a request to fill 835 duffel bags. With your help, we were able to fill over 500 bags with the items the children will need. We are filling and shipping the bags in early 2010. The remaining 235 duffle bags will be filled with items purchased in Vietnam with donations. If you would like to help us fulfill the entire request, a donation of $150 will fill one duffel bag; however, we are grateful for any donation amount. As always, 100% of your donation will be used to fill a bag.

Thank you for making a difference in the lives of abandoned children!
