This is a sweet boy who enjoys the one-on-one attention he gets from his foster mother. In his latest report, he could put both hands together, smile responsively, and turn to a rattling sound. This little guy was born premature, weighing only 2.84 lbs and having intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR). In August 2007, he was diagnosed with failure to thrive, and the following month he was diagnosed with a grade 1-2 heart murmur. It was also noted that his birth mother had a "smoking episode" during her pregnancy. Due to his constellation of symptoms, including head shape, low set ears, floppy muscle tone, high arched palate, undesended testicles, and slow weight gain, there is a possibility of a genetic syndrome. A family who has access to the resources he needs would be best for this charming boy.

This little boy was born at 25 weeks weighing only 1.4 pounds. He was hospitalized for 3.5 months due to his prematurity and low birth weight. He was born under difficult circumstances; his birth parents made an adoption plan when he was just over 4 months old. He was placed in a foster home, where he is thriving under the loving care of his foster family. Although he is making good gains, he still has developmental delays due to his prematurity.

This seven year old boy has congenital cyndactyly on both hands and no toes were formed on his feet. He had surgery on 7/20/01 for congenital circular contraction syndrome. On 12/19/05, he had an operation to restore some forms on his fingers. After the surgery, he started to move his right thumb and right little finger freely. He can feed himself and write using both fingers without difficulties. Doctors thought he would have problems walking without toes on both feet, but he is walking and running without difficulties. He also is taking Taekwondo lessons. His caregivers describe him as a bright and smiling boy.
