Brett
This is an adorable baby boy who enjoys being with his foster mother and foster sister. He has a good social smile, babbles and laughs, and turns his head toward sounds. He has cognitive and motor delays, and hypertonic muscles; cerebral palsy has not yet been ruled out. He can walk and run while in a walker, but not yet sit or stand without support. He was born premature at about 33 weeks, with a low birth weight, and spent time in the hospital after birth. He was found to have "mild non-communicating hydrocephalus" and mild ventriculomegaly. He waits for a family who is open to the unknowns of his condition, and who has the services available that he'll need.

Sean
This is a cute 6 year old boy, who has been in the care center since he was about 1˝ years old. When he came into care, he was malnourished and tested positive for chronic hepatitis B. His liver functions have been normal, and he is receiving medication. He has frequent ear infections, and had surgery for a left undescended testicle in February 2004. He is described as a very inquisitive little boy, who is always interested in learning new things, and independently tries out new activities. He frequently engages in imaginative play with his peers, and likes the company of older children. He can be mischievous with his peers, and likes to win. He expresses his emotions openly, speaks clearly, and is doing well in his school. He enjoys the arts and crafts activities, and is said to be smart. He is also described as cheerful, independent and active. He has good self-care skills, and is independent in doing them. A family who has older child adoption experience and has medical resources needed to treat his hepatitis B would be ideal for this special boy.
