Dreams Do Come True

We’ve all heard graduation speeches, but probably only remembered a few. But this one I won’t soon forget. Truth be told, after you hear it – in its own humble way – it might be one of the best you’ve ever heard.

It’s just a raw video of a young woman encouraging her high school classmates with simple truths told her own way. But this isn’t just any young woman – she’s part of our family – she’s a granted child who came home from China in 2006. She’s a compassionate young lady who has a huge, caring heart.

Hannah Kline graduated from EAHS in June of 2021 as the valedictorian of her class – yes – the valedictorian! “I admire the tenacity that each of you have, for this diploma was not given to you on a silver platter. You earned it. And for that, I congratulate you.” She also added that although the Class of 2021 has unique memories from high school, the members share much in common. Her words to her peers speaks volumes about her own persistence – till the end.

Not only is Hannah studious and conscientious, she’s also benevolent. Her sentiments toward her family and friends, as well as her outward display of volunteerism, is a true testament to her character. She was once an orphan, now a HS graduate, heading to PSU, and about to change the world with her dreams.

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

We hope you begin to see your dreams, as Hannah urges you to, and maybe we’ll hear a lot more stories like hers.
