Hello! We are the Abel family! My husband and I are blessed with eight amazing kids and we are continually amazed by the goodness, generosity, and graces the good Lord has bestowed on our family. So much so, that we once again, want to share these blessings with another little one who will soon be joining our family through the miracle of adoption.
A little more about us: our oldest daughter, Alexandra and her husband Adam, have two very sweet little boys who have been a huge blessing to our family! My son Joseph and his wife, Jessie, are enjoying the blessing of their one-year-old son, who is a constant source of laughter and cuteness! Our daughter, Amanda, was recently engaged to a long-time friend, Caleb, and we are enjoying the excitement of planning a spring wedding. Our second oldest son, Augustine, recently took on a position doing IT work and is really enjoying doing something that he is talented with and very much enjoys. I homeschool our third son, Francis, who is completing his senior year of high school and hopes to secure an apprenticeship to become an electrician. Our daughters, Sophia and Graciana, are currently in 10th and 7th grant and enjoy being homeschooled. They love to attend / volunteer at church youth group events along with their brothers, Augustine and Francis. Our youngest daughter Maria is growing in so many ways through her various therapies and being surrounded by family!
Our two daughters, Sophia and Maria, who have joined our family through the gift of international adoption, have been such gifts to us and have brought so much joy to our family! We are excited to announce that we are in the process of bringing home a very sweet and beautiful little five-year-old from Bulgaria with Spina Bifida and other special needs. We are humbly asking for your support; whether that be through a donation to our grant through Brittany’s Hope or to join us in prayer, in which we humbly ask Our Lord to prepare this little boy’s heart as he waits for Lenny and I to bring home to our family. We are sincerely grateful in any way you are able to join us through this amazing journey!

What is a Brittany's Hope Adoption Grant?
Brittany’s Hope believes in the fundamental right of all children to have the security and love of a family. There are an estimated 153 million orphans living around the world (UNICEF – 02/2011). These staggering statistics are heartbreaking considering a large number of these children are special needs, who have little or no value in the eyes of their own country. They are left to languish in institutions, where they receive minimal care and live hopeless, helpless lives.
The cost of international adoption can be overwhelming and is only further compounded by the medical and accessibility costs a child with special needs presents. Our Adoption Grant Program provides grant monies while giving families the opportunity to assist Brittany’s Hope in raising funds so the next child may also be united with their forever family. The phrase “It takes a village to raise a child,” takes on new meaning as the “seeds” of the adoptive family’s friends, family and neighbors take root and help provide future families with adoption grants. With a gift to Brittany’s Hope, a donor’s monetary support of the Adoption Grant Program means double for the adoptive family.
